Shani Daan — Ann Daan & Daily-Needs Support for Elderly Widows (Vrindavan)
Every Saturday, Gurukul Foundation conducts Ann Daan in Vrindavan, serving hot, sattvik meals and distributing weekly daily-needs kits to elderly widows living alone. Your Saturday offering turns into nourishment, dignity, and consistent care—so our mothers feel seen, safe, and supported.
Project Vision
To transform Shani Daan into dependable, week-long relief—providing nutritious food, basic hygiene, and kind, queue-free service that upholds the dignity of Vrindavan’s elderly widows.
Core Objectives

- Provide weekly daily-needs kits to bridge the gap through the week.
- Ensure respectful, women-led, queue-free distribution—frail first.
- Track needs seasonally (water, ORS, shawls/blankets) and respond fast.

Transparency & Safeguards
- Clear records of meals served and kits distributed every Saturday.
- Nutrition-first menus; minimal spice, low oil, clean water protocols.
- Zero-waste planning; leftovers redirected responsibly where permitted.
- Dignity policy: no crowding, no public staging, consent-based media.
Positive Outcomes We Aim For
- Regular, predictable meals—reduced hunger and anxiety.
- Improved hygiene and basic comfort throughout the week.
- Faster support for the frail with a simple priority system.
