Mandala Seva: Annadanam & Black Angavastram for Ayyappa Devotees

During the sacred Mandala season, Gurukul Foundation serves Ayyappa Deeksha devotees with hot sattvik annadanam and respectful black angavastram offerings. Your contribution of any amount becomes nourishing prasadam, a fresh vastram for vratham, and steady support for swamis walking this path of discipline, devotion and surrender.

Project Vision

Transform bhakti into daily seva—so no Ayyappa devotee stands in yatra hungry, without a clean angavastram, or without the warmth of a caring community supporting their vratham.

Core Objectives

  • Serve fresh, hot, sattvik annadanam to Deeksha devotees every day of Mandala kalam.
  • Provide new black angavastram sets for swamis observing strict vratham.
  • Ensure safe drinking water, basic seating and shade near the seva point.
  • Maintain a dignity-first system: calm queues, elders-first, respectful handling of prasadam.

What Your Contribution Supports

  • Daily annadanam thalis: rice, sabzi, dal/khichdi, payasam or fruit & safe drinking water.
  • Black angavastram sets for vratham: washable cloth, simple and dignified.
  • Seva essentials: pooja samagri, plates, glasses, cleaning supplies and serving vessels.
  • Cooking fuel, basic kitchen staff support & last-mile logistics for annadanam counters.

Daily Operations (How We Implement)

  1. Morning procurement & same-day sattvik cooking in a supervised, clean kitchen.
  2. Annadanam counters opened around puja timings; elders and long-distance swamis get priority.
  3. Angavastram distribution at a designated seva desk with simple token notes to avoid duplication.
  4. Volunteer team manages serving, refilling water, cleanliness and basic coordination with temple authorities.

Transparency & Safeguards

  • Daily logs of annadanam plates served and angavastram sets distributed.
  • Sattvik menu (low oil, moderate spice); clean water, washed utensils and hygiene protocol.
  • Consent-based photography; respectful, non-intrusive documentation of devotees and seva.
  • Zero-duplication checks via simple tokens/ID notes; responsible use of surplus prasadam.

Positive Outcomes We Aim For

  • Nourished, energized devotees through predictable daily annadanam.
  • Dignified darshan with clean angavastram and basic comfort during Mandala vratham.
  • Safer, smoother yatra experience with organised, peaceful seva points.
  • A community-led model of Ayyappa bhakti where compassion flows through action.

Ways to Participate

  • Sponsor daily annadanam for 10 / 50 / 100 Ayyappa devotees—or more.
  • Fund a set of black angavastram offerings for a group of swamis in vratham.
  • Support full-day seva on special days or key dates till Makara Jyothi.
  • Set up a monthly/seasonal pledge so Mandala Seva continues without break.

Even a small gift becomes prasadam on a devotee’s plate and strength in their vratham.

Note: All seva is organised as per local temple norms; offerings are used only for the welfare of Ayyappa Deeksha devotees.
