Uttarakhand Flood Relief Campaign – Gurukul Foundation
On August 5, 2025, a devastating cloudburst struck Uttarkashi in Uttarakhand, resulting in flash floods and landslides that wreaked havoc across the region. The sheer force of water swept away villages, submerged homes, destroyed bridges, and disrupted lives beyond imagination. More than 50 people remain missing, hundreds have been displaced, and countless families are in urgent need of support.
The floods have not only affected humans but have also severely impacted animals — especially cows, calves, and stray animals that are injured, hungry, and left without shelter. Fields have been flooded, food supplies destroyed, and drinking water sources contaminated. The people of Devbhoomi (Land of the Gods) are facing one of the worst crises in recent years.
In response, Gurukul Foundation has launched an urgent and compassionate Flood Relief Campaign. Our on-ground volunteers are working around the clock to provide emergency support, including:
- Distribution of hot cooked meals to flood victims
- Provision of clean drinking water
- Supply of dry food, biscuits, and milk powder
- Delivery of hygiene kits including sanitary pads, soaps, and sanitizers
- Arrangement of basic medical aid and first-aid support
- Fodder, dry grass, and medicines for rescued animals
- Assistance in temporary shelter setup and relocation
Our mission is clear — no family or animal should suffer alone. But the scale of the disaster demands collective effort. While our teams are on the ground, we need your support to sustain and expand our reach.
Whether it's ₹100 or ₹10,000 — every contribution helps us deliver essentials faster and more efficiently. Your donation could provide a hot meal to a child, medicine to a cow, or a hygiene kit to a woman who lost everything in the flood.
This is not just a disaster relief effort — it is a call for humanity, for unity, for compassion. We urge you to join the Gurukul Foundation Relief Mission and make a difference in the lives of those who need it most.
🙏 Donate now. Together, let’s stand with Uttarakhand. Together, let’s bring back hope.
