Purnima Gau Seva Sankalp – Full Moon Blessings Through Fodder & Healing Care

Purnima is a time of completeness—when the moon is whole, and many hearts turn toward charity, prayer, and compassion. On this sacred day, Gurukul Foundation invites you to celebrate devotion in the most meaningful way: by supporting Purnima Gau Seva—a campaign focused on providing chara (nutritious fodder) and essential treatment for Gaumata. While festivals bring light to our homes, many rescued, abandoned, and elderly cows still face days of hunger, weakness, injuries, and untreated illness. Your donation becomes their food, their medicine, and their quiet hope.

Why Purnima Gau Seva Matters

In Indian tradition, Purnima is associated with punya—good deeds that carry spiritual merit. But beyond belief, there is a simple truth: a hungry animal feels pain the same way we do. Many Gaumata rescued from neglect, accidents, or abandonment arrive weak and frightened. Some are injured from road mishaps, some suffer from infection, worms, fever, or skin disease, and many are old and unable to compete for food. On Purnima, your support can restore strength, comfort, and dignity to lives that cannot ask for help.

What Your Donation Supports

Every contribution to Gurukul Foundation’s Purnima Gau Seva is used for direct care, including:

  • Chara & feed support: green fodder, dry fodder, and balanced nutrition so weak cows can regain energy.
  • Medical treatment: vet consultation, medicines, injections, wound care, and basic diagnostics for timely recovery.
  • Injury and infection care: dressing, antiseptics, pain relief, and supportive care for cows with open wounds or infections.
  • Preventive wellness: deworming, supplements, and seasonal support to reduce illness and improve overall health.
  • Daily dignity: clean water, basic hygiene needs, and care that keeps Gaumata safe and calm.

A Simple Act, A Sacred Impact

Imagine a cow who has not had enough fodder for days—her body tired, her eyes quiet, her steps slow. Now imagine her receiving a full feeding, clean water, and timely treatment. That shift—from suffering to relief—is the real meaning of seva. This Purnima, let your celebration be more than a ritual. Let it be a promise that no Gaumata under our care is left hungry or untreated. When we feed and heal with compassion, the blessings return as peace, gratitude, and a deeper sense of purpose.
