Jammu & Kashmir is shattered — let humanity rebuild it

Jammu & Kashmir Emergency Relief Project
In the remote and beautiful region of Jammu & Kashmir, nature has unleashed devastation on an unimaginable scale. A sudden and powerful cloudburst in the Kishtwar district has left entire communities in shock. With 56 confirmed deaths, more than 250 people missing, and hundreds severely injured, the tragedy has not only taken lives but also destroyed livelihoods, homes, and essential infrastructure. The situation is dire, and thousands of families are now struggling to survive amid collapsed homes, blocked roads, and limited access to clean water or medical help.
Villages have turned into debris fields, pilgrim camps have been washed away, and community kitchens lie in ruins. In the midst of this chaos, the most vulnerable are suffering the most—children crying from hunger, elderly individuals shivering in the cold without shelter, and women grieving the loss of their families. There is an urgent and overwhelming need for humanitarian support on all fronts. People require clean drinking water, warm meals, clothing, tarpaulin tents, blankets, and emergency medical aid to prevent further loss of life.
Gurukul Foundation has launched this emergency relief project to respond with compassion, speed, and accountability. Our teams are coordinating with local volunteers and trusted partners to ensure that help reaches even the most remote corners of the disaster-hit area. We are distributing cooked food, safe drinking water, tents for temporary shelter, hygiene kits, and medicines. We are also identifying families who have lost their homes or loved ones, so we can provide focused, long-term support in the next phase of rehabilitation.
This campaign is not just about relief—it's about restoring dignity and hope. It’s about telling the people of Jammu & Kashmir that they are not alone. Every contribution you make brings someone comfort, care, and the courage to face another day. The road to recovery is long, but together, we can walk it step by step.
