Chhath Puja Gau Mata Daan
Project
Chhath Puja Gau Mata Daan — Project Details (Gurukul Foundation Gaushalas)
During Chhath Puja, devotees honour Chhathi Maiya and Surya Dev with vows of purity, gratitude, and service. Aligned with this spirit, Gurukul Foundation is running a special Gau Mata Daan drive across our gaushalas, focused on injured, abandoned, and stray cows. Your contribution strengthens round-the-clock care—nutritious fodder, medical treatment, clean shelters, and safe drinking water—so that every rescued cow experiences comfort, healing, and dignity.
Project Vision
To transform the devotion of Chhath Puja into practical, daily wellbeing for Gau Mata—keeping troughs full, wounds dressed, sheds clean and dry, and rescues safe—while upholding transparency and compassion in every step.
Why Chhath Puja for Gau Seva?
- Light over hardship: As diyas dispel darkness, your seva eases pain for injured rescues.
- Purity & discipline: The vrat’s restraint inspires clean, ethical animal care.
- Gratitude: Offering to Chhathi Maiya becomes nourishment and healing for cows who cannot ask.
- Community duty: Support local gaushalas, veterinarians, and caregivers with consistent resources.
What Your Contribution Supports
- Nutrition: green fodder cycles, dry hay, chuni/bran, mineral & salt mixes.
- Medical care: vet visits, emergency first-aid, de-worming, vaccinations, hoof & wound care.
- Shelter hygiene: dry bedding, clean straw, disinfectants, fly-control, drainage upkeep.
- Water & safety: scrubbed water troughs, shade nets, night lighting, enclosure repairs.
- Rescue logistics: safe transport crates, ramps, and recovery pens for weak animals.
How We Implement
- Daily needs assessment across partner gaushalas; priority for injured/senior cattle.
- Ethical local procurement with quality checks; fodder stored safely to prevent spoilage.
- Veterinary calendar: routine checkups, critical-care rounds, and surgery referrals when required.
- Cleanliness drives: bedding refresh, shed sanitation, manure management, and pest control.
- Documentation: item logs, medicine registers, and photo/video acknowledgements (animal-first framing).
Transparency & Safeguards
- Clear records of fodder delivered, cases treated, and sheds covered.
- Welfare protocol: calm handling, no crowding, trained para-vets on duty.
- Eco-mindful practices: biodegradable bedding, water reuse where safe, plastic-free distributions.
- Donor updates: periodic impact notes with consent-based visuals from the gaushalas.
Outcomes We Aim For
- Faster recovery for injured rescues and reduced re-injury risk.
- Cleaner, drier sheds and stress-free rest for weak and senior cows.
- Stable fodder pipeline through the festival season and winter months.
- A scalable, community-led model of Gau Seva anchored in Chhath values.
Ways to Participate (Any Amount)
- Sponsor a day’s fodder for a shed or fund mineral-mix for a month.
- Back a vet-care visit / first-aid & medicines for critical cases.
- Provide warm bedding bundles and enclosure repairs before winter.
- Support rescue logistics—safe transport and recovery pens.
Let devotion become nourishment, healing, and safe shelter for rescued cows.
Contribute any amount today—help us keep the fodder fresh, the medicines ready, and the sheds warm. Together, let us honour Chhathi Maiya by protecting those who cannot speak.
