Gurukul Foundation’s Relief Initiative for Families Affected by the Devastating Fire in Vikas Nagar
A devastating fire in Sector 11, Vikas Nagar, Lucknow, left more than 1,000 people homeless after over 280 shanties were completely destroyed. Most of the affected families are migrant workers from nearby districts and other states who were living in makeshift homes and depending on daily wages for survival. Within minutes, the fire spread rapidly through the settlement, destroying homes, basic belongings, food supplies, and whatever little security these families had built for themselves.
In this moment of crisis, Gurukul Foundation has come forward with an emergency relief initiative to support the affected families with immediate essentials like food, temporary shelter support, basic daily needs, and humanitarian care.
