Gurukul Foundation — Rebuild Hope for Jhaniyaar: Winter Relief for Village Peoples

Gurukul Foundation is mobilising compassionate, community-led support for fire-affected families of Jhaniyaar village, Kullu. A massive blaze has destroyed homes, temples, and gaushalas, and our focus is to protect life, restore dignity, and help households and cattle face this harsh winter safely.

Project Vision

To turn shared grief into practical care—ensuring families and gaumata have warm blankets, nourishing food, basic health support, safe shelter, and the strength to rebuild together with dignity.

Core Objectives

  • Provide family-friendly winter relief kits with dignity and care.
  • Supply dry ration, cooking essentials, and safe drinking water.
  • Support medicines and basic healthcare for people and cattle.
  • Offer warmth materials for homes, temporary shelters, and gaushalas.
  • Encourage community-led recovery and restoration of common spaces.

What Your Contribution Supports

  • Household winter kits with blankets, shawls, socks, and sleeping essentials.
  • Dry ration, basic groceries, and cooking oil for affected families.
  • Primary medicines, first-aid, and health-camp support in the village.
  • Fodder, mineral mix, and basic shelter material for gaushalas.
  • Tarpaulins, mats, and covers to keep spaces dry and wind-protected.
  • Initial tools and materials that help families restart daily livelihood.

How We Implement

  1. Community-verified needs assessment with village leaders and local partners.
  2. Ethical sourcing, winter-suitable materials, and quality checks before dispatch.
  3. Planned distributions prioritising women, children, elders, and disabled persons.
  4. Follow-ups for continuity of care and feedback-based improvements in support.

Transparency & Safeguards

  • Clear documentation of kits, locations, and coordination with village committees.
  • Needs-first lists and community oversight to ensure fairness in distribution.
  • Data privacy, child-safeguarding, and do-no-harm principles in all actions.
  • Concise updates so supporters can see how their help reaches Jhaniyaar.

Positive Outcomes We Aim For

  • Warm, safe, and dignified living conditions for fire-affected families.
  • Reduced health risks through food, winter care, and primary medical support.
  • No cow or calf left hungry or unsheltered in the winter night.
  • Households on a clear path from shock to stable, resilient recovery.

Ways to Participate

  • Sponsor a winter relief kit with blanket, ration, and basic medicines.
  • Support fodder and shelter support for affected gaushalas and cattle.
  • Back medical and wellness camps for villagers and their livestock.
  • Share this appeal and inspire one more person to stand with Jhaniyaar.
Warmth for Jhaniyaar

Join Gurukul Foundation to turn empathy into action—so every home and gaushala moves from fire-hit crisis to winter-ready confidence.

Together, we can protect families, care for gaumata, and help Jhaniyaar rise stronger from the ashes—one blanket, one ration kit, one gesture of compassion at a time.
