Saturday Vanar Seva: Feed & Heal the Sacred Monkeys
Project
Saturday Vanar Seva: Feed & Heal the Sacred Monkeys Weekly Seva for Street & Injured Monkeys • By Gurukul Foundation
Across temple towns, ghats, forests, and urban edges, countless monkeys struggle daily with hunger, dehydration, injuries, and illness. Many survive on scraps, unsafe food, or nothing at all. This Saturday Vanar Seva is a humble effort to feed, hydrate, and support sacred monkeys so they may live with health, safety, and dignity.
Project Purpose
The purpose of this seva is to provide regular nourishment and basic medical care to street and injured monkeys. Through feeding, hydration, and healing support, this initiative helps reduce suffering, prevent disease, and protect monkeys who have no natural food access or human protection.
