Shukravar Gau Seva • In the Name of Maa Mahalakshmi
Gurukul Foundation — Weekly Feeding & Care Drive for Gau Mata
Shukravar (Friday) is associated with Maa Mahalakshmi—a day of peace, prosperity, and pure intention. On this auspicious day, Gurukul Foundation conducts Shukravar Gau Seva to support hungry, injured, abandoned, and shelter-rescued cows with regular feeding, clean water, and mindful care. Many cows suffer due to unsafe food, road injuries, seasonal weakness, and neglect. This weekly seva is our humble effort to turn devotion into action— so nourishment and dignity reach Gau Mata in a calm, respectful, and organised way.
Why Shukravar Gau Seva Matters
In Sanatan tradition, serving Gau Mata is considered a sacred form of seva. A timely feed restores strength, reduces stress, and supports recovery—especially for weak, elderly, or injured cows. By offering Gau Seva on Shukravar in Maa Mahalakshmi’s name, we choose compassion that brings immediate relief: fuller feeding troughs, calmer shelter spaces, and a stronger chance for healing. When kindness becomes routine, blessings become steady.
What This Weekly Seva Includes
🐄 Green Fodder & Dry Fodder Support
Distribution of fodder based on on-ground feasibility—such as green grass, dry fodder, and essential feed support for shelter cows and vulnerable cows in identified areas.
💧 Clean Water & Basic Care Assistance
Wherever feasible, we support access to clean drinking water and basic on-ground care needs—helping reduce dehydration, weakness, and seasonal stress.
🩺 Support for Weak & Injured Cows
Basic first-aid essentials and help in urgent cases through responsible coordination (as feasible). Our focus remains calm handling, timely support, and dignity-first care.
🚚 Procurement, Packing & Distribution Coordination
Feed procurement, packing material, transport support, and volunteer coordination—so the seva remains organised, timely, and waste-free, ensuring fair distribution.
Our Approach: Seva With Respect
Gurukul Foundation believes seva should be calm, clean, and respectful. We identify locations where cows are most vulnerable—gaushalas, shelter areas, roadside zones, and rescue-support points—then distribute feed patiently and responsibly. We prioritise weak, injured, and abandoned cows wherever possible, and ensure hygienic handling during procurement and distribution.
This is a weekly commitment, so support creates continuity. When many hands contribute together, the impact becomes stronger—more fodder reaches Gau Mata, more care becomes possible, and more lives are protected. On Shukravar, let your devotion in Maa Mahalakshmi’s name become nourishment, protection, and healing for Gau Mata.
