Winter Blanket Seva – Ayodhya Warmth Drive by Gurukul Foundation
This winter, North India is experiencing an intense cold wave. The nights feel sharper, the winds feel heavier, and for people living on the streets, the cold becomes more than discomfort—it becomes danger. In and around Ayodhya, many poor and homeless individuals spend the night under open skies, thin covers, or no protection at all. When temperatures drop, the body struggles to stay warm, and illness spreads quickly. For someone already living with hardship, one warm blanket can mean safety, sleep, and survival.
Gurukul Foundation is carrying out a noble winter relief initiative—distributing warm blankets to street-dwellers, elderly people, daily wage workers, and families who cannot afford winter protection. In the coldest Himalayan-style winter wave, warmth is not a luxury; it is a basic need. Many people continue working outdoors all day and return to nights with no shelter. For them, a blanket is not just cloth—it is dignity and care. It protects from shivering cold, reduces health risks, and gives comfort that words cannot.
What this Winter Blanket Seva supports:
- Warm blankets – distributed to street and poor people facing extreme cold nights
- Priority support – elderly, children, women, and the most vulnerable first
- On-ground distribution – reaching key street locations and needy clusters in Ayodhya
- Winter protection – reducing health risks caused by cold wave conditions
Our team plans distribution with respect and responsibility, ensuring that blankets reach those who truly need them. We aim to cover more areas and help more people during the peak winter nights when the cold becomes unbearable. A single blanket can protect someone from fever, cold-related illness, and sleepless nights. For an elderly person on the pavement, it can be the difference between safety and severe risk. For a child, it can be the warmth that allows their body to rest. For a daily wage worker, it can be the comfort that helps them wake up and work again.
This winter in Ayodhya, let compassion become warmth. Through the Ayodhya Warmth Drive, Gurukul Foundation is working to bring protection and dignity to people who face the cold with nothing. May this noble cause inspire kindness in action—so that no one is left to fight the harsh winter alone.
