“Gau Sewa at Vrindavan” by Gurukul Foundation

In the divine atmosphere of Shri Vrindavan Dham, where Lord Krishna spent His childhood tending cows and spreading the message of love and simplicity, Gurukul Foundation organized a deeply devotional “Gau Sewa” initiative.

The team of sevadars and trustees personally reached multiple Gaushalas and cow shelters to serve fresh green fodder (go-gras), dry hay, jaggery, grains, and vegetables to the cows. Special care was given to old, injured, and abandoned cows that often depend on charitable support for survival.

In coordination with local veterinarians, the Foundation also distributed medical kits and arranged on-spot treatment for sick or wounded cows. The seva was carried out with deep devotion and humility, as volunteers offered their service treating every cow as a living embodiment of the Divine Mother.

The initiative was not limited to food distribution — it reflected the Foundation’s deep commitment to Gau Raksha (protection), Gau Samvardhan (preservation), and Gau Sneha (compassion).

Highlights of the Event

• Serving nutritious fodder and clean water to hundreds of cows across Vrindavan.
Medical treatment and medicines for weak, injured, and orphaned cows.
Awareness drive on the spiritual and ecological importance of cows.
Support to local Gaushalas for sustained feeding and care.
• Emphasis on ongoing Gau Seva initiatives beyond this one-day program.

The Spirit of Gau Sewa

Gau Mata has always been revered in our culture as “Kamadhenu” — the divine bestower of prosperity, purity, and nourishment. Serving the cow is equivalent to serving all living beings. It is said in the Shastras that:

“Gau Seva se prapt hota hai anant punya aur hriday mein karuna ka vikas.”
(Through Gau Sewa, one attains immense merit and develops deep compassion in the heart.)

For Gurukul Foundation, Gau Sewa is not just an activity — it is a lifelong commitment to dharma, compassion, and sustainability. Every handful of fodder offered is an offering of gratitude to the sacred bond between nature, mankind, and divinity.

Appeal for Participation & Donation

Gau Seva thrives on collective compassion. The Foundation humbly invites devotees and well-wishers to contribute towards fodder, medicines, or shelter for Gau Mata.
Your donation, whether small or large, directly supports the daily feeding, treatment, and rescue of cows in Vrindavan and nearby regions.

By offering even a single day’s Gau Bhojan or sponsoring medical care, you become a part of an eternal seva tradition that brings peace, prosperity, and blessings to your home.
